Join us in Bend, Oregon from July 11, 2024 through July 15, 2024 for the Sonder Quilt Retreat 2024 with Carrie from Lifting Limits Quilting and Lisa from Wild Plum Lane Quilts! Cost of attending varies by room accommodations (see below). A 50% deposit is due at time of booking, and final payment will be due on June 7, 2024.
To Sonder is to realize the complexity of each individual person’s life and life story. We each live our own beautiful, complex jouneys, and for one weekend this summer, we’ll come together in shared space and experience!
What’s included:
4-night accommodations at the Hen House in Bend, Oregon. The Hen House is a creative-specific retreat house run by The Quilt Basket quilt shop!
24/7 access to the in-house work studio to sew to your heart’s content!
Access to living, kitchen and dining spaces in the retreat house.
Three dinners and four light breakfasts (lunches and one dinner will be on your own).
Transportation to and from Sisters, Oregon to attend the Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show on Saturday, July 13, 2024.

Check-in available at the Hen House at 12:00 noon. Sew and socialize through the afternoon. Meet and get to know each other. We’ll order dinner in, and share an in-house wine tasting! Sew as late as you’d like!
Friday, July 12, 2024
A light breakfast of coffee, pastries, fruit, etc. will be provided at the house. We’ll visit The Quilt Basket quilt shop in Bend to pick up any last-minute items we may need. Lunch will be on your own. We’ll share a chef-prepared meal at the house in the evening, and sew all day!
Saturday, July 13, 2024
A light breakfast of coffee, pastries, fruit, etc. will be provided at the house, then we’ll head to Sisters (about a 30 minute drive) for the Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show! We’ll spend the day in Sisters, and lunch will be on your own while there. We’ll share dinner together back at the house when we return.

A light breakfast of coffee, pastries, fruit, etc. will be provided at the house. We’ll head out for a local morning hike, then return back to the house. Lunch will be on your own. We’ll have dinner out at a restaurant for our last night together (transportation provided; cost of this dinner will be on your own to allow for each individual to order what they’d like!).

A light breakfast of coffee, pastries, fruit, etc. will be provided at the house. Sew through the first part of the day, then pack up and check out by 3:00 pm.
There are 8 retreat spots available. Purchase your spot now for a 50% deposit; additional waivers, agreements, and final payment will be collected by June 7, 2024. Accommodation options are as follows:
Room 1: $850 per person. Three people in a bedroom sharing an ensuite bathroom with the same people. $425 due at booking; additional $425 due by June 7, 2024.
Room 2: $870 per person. Two people in a bedroom sharing a hall bathroom with two additional people (four people total sharing the bathroom). $435 due at booking; additional $435 due by June 7, 2024.
Room 3: $870 per person. Two people in a bedroom sharing a hall bathroom with two additional people (four people total sharing the bathroom). $435 due at booking; additional $435 due by June 7, 2024.
Room 4: $990 per person. One person in a bedroom sharing a hall bathroom with two additional people (three people total sharing the bathroom). $495 due at booking; additional $495 due by June 7, 2024.
Room 5: $890 per person. Two people in a bedroom sharing a hall bathroom with one additional person (three people total sharing the bathroom). $445 due at booking; additional $445 due by June 7, 2024.
Cancellations: If WE cancel the event for any unforeseen circumstances, we will refund you any amount you have paid us for your retreat spot. If YOU must cancel your reservation for the event, your deposit is 100% refundable through April 10, 2024 and becomes non-refundable after that date. A 50% refund of any FINAL payment you make/have made is available through July 1, 2023; no refunds are available after that date.
